Nadine joined Canterbury Chambers in February 2013 as an employed Barrister, working for Kelvin Reid.  She also assists other Barristers within Chambers when required.  Nadine currently works part time, following a period of maternity leave.

Prior to joining Canterbury Chambers, Nadine worked in the Christchurch City Council’s Legal Services Unit for four years.  During this time Nadine’s roles included appearing as junior Counsel for the Council at the Canterbury Earthquakes Royal Commission hearings and at earthquake related coronial hearings. Nadine also provided advice to the Council on various other matters, including official information, privacy, building and weathertight homes, rating valuations, debt recovery, insurance, resource management and enforcement related issues.

Before joining the Council, Nadine worked for six years as a tax advisor in a top tier accounting firm.

Nadine’s current areas of work include resource management planning and enforcement matters, local government, Building Act, land valuation, official information and privacy matters.

Outside of work Nadine enjoys spending time with her twin daughters and other family; sailing; tramping and swimming.
